Certification Study Group Hosted by Fox Valley SHRM chapter:
Fox Valley SHRM is proud to offer a study session each Spring and Fall to help HR professionals set aside time to study for their certification. Sessions are held one night a week, virtually, for 12 weeks. Sessions last anywhere from 90 minutes to 2.5 hours depending on the content for that session. Members in our study group have experienced a 80% pass rate compared to SHRM national statistics of between 50-70% depending on the exam taken. Sessions are led by SHRM Certified professionals.
The cost to join our study group is free for Fox Valley SHRM members or SHRM Chapter Partners*. Non-Chapter members are able to join for a $25 donation to our foundation. Joining the FV SHRM Study Group also allows for a significant discount in purchasing the SHRM Learning System, of which the study sessions are built upon. The SHRM Learning System includes 4 hard copy books as well as an online learning platform that offers a pre-test, post module quizzes, and a final exam – all of which help you prepare for the Certification Exam.
*SHRM Chapter Partners are chapters that have agreed to facilitate at least one study group session per year.
**Study sessions will cover each of the three behavioral competency clusters (Leadership, Interpersonal, and Business) as well as the three knowledge domains (People, Organization, and Workplace) from the SHRM Body of Knowledge. Certification Study Group Hosted by Green Bay SHRM chapter:
Join our chapter SHRM Certification study group. Our certification committee offers our members and non-members a 13 week facilitator guided study group. If you’re interested in participating in our GB SHRM Study group for the spring or fall Semester, please reach out to Tonya Ouradnik at [email protected].
The Spring Semester study group typically runs February through May and our Fall Semester typically runs September through December. The study group is held on a weekly basis, Thursday’s from 6 pm – 8:30 pm. Each session is led by a facilitator (SHRM Certified) along with the SHRM Learning System.
If you’re stuck between a self-guided study and our chapter study group - join our chapter sponsored study group as a member of GB SHRM – you will save over $300! Our Chapter is able to pass the savings on to you through our SHRM Certification Champion designation.
*If you are certified (SHRM CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) and interested in facilitating a session – we need your expertise! We are looking for certified members to facilitate either spring or fall session. This is a great opportunity to volunteer and give back to our fellow Chapter members.
Already certified and need recertification credits? We recommend downloading the Recertification App available in both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. Entering your recertification credits is easy.
Looking for ways to get credits? Attending SHRM related events (Chapter meetings, local conferences, annual national conference, etc. ) is an easy way to earn credits. You must have 60 recertification credits within your recertification window, or you will need to re-take the exam.
