    MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

    The Lakeshore Area Human Resource Association (LAHRA), founded in 1989, is comprised of professional individuals responsible for human resource and industrial relations. The purpose of the Chapter shall be to advance the profession and serve the professional. Membership in the Chapter is as follows: Professional – Membership is paid by an eligible person and shall remain in the person’s name without consideration as to an employer. Professional members have the right to vote and hold elective office. Student – Membership of an eligible student in a SHRM affiliated college chapter to be non-voting and not eligible for elective office. Transitional – Membership of a previous professional member who is unemployed or transitioning from one job to another is eligible to extend membership per Board approval. Transitional members are non-voting and not eligible for elective office. All LAHRA members have access to our LinkedIn group. This is a valuable resource for members to connect with others in the Human Resource field, share best practices, ask questions and network.

    DUES INFORMATION 1/2018 - 12/2018

    Dues are established by the Board of Directors prior to the first regular meeting of each year, and presented to the membership. Payment of dues entitles the individual to all services and privileges of the Lakeshore Area Human Resource Association. Annual dues are payable on or before December 31st.

    Annual Membership Dues

    • $25.00 for National SHRM members that designate LAHRA as their home chapter
    • $80.00 for non-SHRM members or SHRM members that do not designate LAHRA as their home chapter
    • FREE for SHRM student chapter or board approved transitional members

    MEETING INFORMATION 1/2018 - 12/2018

    Monthly meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of each month beginning in January through May,  September through October and December unless noted otherwise. The Board of Directors coordinates meetings and speaker activities relative to applicable and timely subject content. Meeting information can be found on the LAHRA website: www.lahrashrm.org. Monthly notices for attendance at the general meetings are sent to members by email prior to each meeting.  The Meeting Fees are as follows:

    • Prepaid Meeting Fees $15 per meeting x 8 meetings - $120.00
    • Non-Prepaid Meeting Fees $20 per meeting
    • Guest Meeting Fees $30 per meeting

    INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETION OF MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION:
